Betty Y. Mareno, age 74 of Conneaut died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Lake Point Nursing & Rehab Center.

Betty was born on October 13, 1941 in Conneaut, the daughter of Herbert and Catherine Webster Luce. She worked for several years at Premix Corporation and the Baby Toy Furniture Factory in Albion. She also worked for Meals on Wheels and the Head Start Program at the Conneaut Human Resource Center. Betty also served as a chaperone for Special Olympics.

She was a former member of the Conneaut Moose Lodge and the Conneaut Eagles Lodge.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene H. Mareno in 2010 and a sister Barbara Dryslinski.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas Mareno, Sr., of Conneaut, David Mareno of Conneaut, Steve Mareno of Madison, brothers Richard and MaryAnn Luce of Conneaut, Larry and Dotty Luce of Conneaut, several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Rt. 20, N. Kingsville, with Rev Gabriel Clyde of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Conneaut officiating. Burial will follow.
