Edward L. Wirsching, age 55, of Conneaut died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at his home. 

Ed was born on March 7, 1962 in Parma, Ohio the son of Robert and Joella (Hahn) Wirsching.  He was a 1980 graduate of Normandy High School.  Ed worked for WVIZ for over 18 years in the controls department.   He also worked for Coit Cleaning Services and the Conneaut Compost Site.

He was a member of the Old Time Baptist Church in Conneaut.  Ed enjoyed reading about history, especially the Civil War and World War II, making model airplanes, fishing and was an excellent chef.  He especially loved spending time with his family. 

Ed was preceded in death by his father and grandson Skyler.

He is survived by his mother Joella (Anthony) Gonzalez of Florida, his wife Colleen (Duffy) Wirsching, whom he married in 2000, sons Brian Branaghan of Chicago and Craig Branaghan of Colorado, daughter Julie Branaghan of Texas, two sisters Diane Wirsching of Sagamore Hills and Cherri Maldonado of Florida, Aunt Barbara Hahn of Conneaut, two nieces Amanda and Erika Maldonado of Florida, grandson Jayden and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitiation will be held from1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St. Conneaut. 

A prayer service will follow calling hours at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Raisian Funeral Home, to help the family with funeral expenses.
