John T. Morris age 56 of Conneaut died Monday, December 26, 2016 at home with his family by his side.

            John was born on October 17, 1960 in Conneaut, the son of Raymond and Melodie L. (Oleson) Morris.  He was a 1979 graduate of Conneaut High School, attended Kent State University and served in the National Guard for several years.  John worked at Premix Corporation for 34 years, where he began as a finisher, became supervisor and most recently as a Process Technician for the A.Schulman Inc.

            John was a member of Corpus Christi Parish.  He enjoyed watching all Cleveland sports, coaching his son’s baseball team at C.L.Y.O. and he especially loved spending time with family and friends.  John was an amazing father and husband. 

            John was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a brother-in-law Anthony Licea.

            He is survived by the love of his life, Bridgette Zappitello, whom he married October 17, 1987, a son Nicholas Morris, daughter Olivia Morris, two brothers, Raymond Morris Jr. of Conneaut, Joseph (Lisa) Morris of Lakeland, FL, four sisters, Mary (Lewis) Szabo of Jefferson, OH, Margaret “Peggy” Licea of Huston, TX, Melodie M. “Dee Dee” Morris of Conneaut and Melissa Orlando of Enterprise, AL.  Also surviving is an aunt Laurine “Sis” Pataky of Conneaut, uncle Rex (Katie) Oleson, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

           At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours.
           A Memorial Gathering is planned for later this summer, when all of the family can be present.

          Memorial contributions may be made in care of John’s name to C.L.Y.O., or S.P.A.R.C. organizations.  Envelopes will be available at the Raisian Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut where arrangements are being handled.
