          Robert W. Rager, age 72 of Kingsville, died Sunday morning, March 12, 2017 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.

          Bob was born on May 19, 1944 in Johnstown, PA., the son of Harold and Dorothy Mowery Rager. He was a 1963 graduate of Richland High School and went on to work at the Chrysler Plant in Newark, Delaware as a Supervisor for 15 years. Bob came to Ohio in 1978 and went to work for the Redan Tool & Die Company as a machinist and retired from there in 2004.

          Bob was a member of New Leaf United Methodist Church in Conneaut. Bob loved fast cars and he enjoyed working on cars in his spare time. He was a self-taught auto mechanic and a known Mr. Fix-it to his family. He also was a great carpenter, loved to bowl, golf and play pinochle with his family. One of Bob’s favorite things to do was “jitterbugging” with his high school sweet heart, Marjorie Stewart Rager, whom he married May 14, 1966. Bob also enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Western Movies.

          Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 49 years, Marjorie Stewart Rager.

          He is survived by three daughters, Janet and Ron Brown of Conneaut, Kimberly and Russell Wagner of Kingsville, Bobbie Sue and Michael Ball of Conneaut, six grandchildren Jarod Wagner, Jacob Wagner, Jace “JT” Wagner, Valarie and William Schwentker, Keagan Ball, Jenna Ball, two great-grandchildren Jackson and Hope Marjorie Schwentker, a sister Debra and Dr. Ronald Pekala of West Chester, PA., brothers Harold “Hal” and Roberta Rager of Sebring, FL., and Gary and Denise Rager of St. Louis, Missouri.

          Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Lulu Falls Cemetery, Kingsville with Pastor Jan Walsch of the New Leaf United Methodist Church officiating.

Following burial, the family will gather at New Leaf Methodist Church for a luncheon and a time of fellowship.

          Memorial contributions in Bob’s name can be made to the New Leaf United Methodist Church, 110 Gateway Ave, Conneaut, Ohio 44030. Envelopes will be available at the church, cemetery and the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut where arrangements are being handling.
