Benjamin Kaczorowski, age 100, passed away on January 14, 2024, at Lake Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Benny was born on April 20, 1923, in Conneaut, the son of Ignacy and Teofila Murawski Kaczorowski. He attended Conneaut High and went to work on the Nickle Plate Railroad in the Roundhouse as a carman and repairman. He later retired from the Norfolk & Western Railroad as a watchman. He worked many years as a watchman at the Chestnut Street crossing until his retirement.
Benny was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. He was a car enthusiast and loved old classic cars. Benny enjoyed mowing his yard and taking care of the family. He could always be seen down at the lakefront enjoying the view and nature.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Adam Kaczorowski, Matthew Kaczorowski, Joseph Kaczorowski, and a sister Cecelia Marmone.
He is survived by his sister Victoria Truppo, Benny’s care giver for many years and nephews James Truppo and Tom Truppo, and great nieces Janet Corry and Kelly Truppo.
Benny’s family would like to thank all the family and friends who helped take care of Benny and spent time with him. He loved you all dearly.
At Benny’s request, private services were held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Conneaut for his family.
