Dale Ray Reffner

Dale Ray Reffner, age 83 formerly of Conneaut, died April 4, 2024 at the Erie VA Medical Center.

Dale was born February 10, 1941, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Maxwell and Arlene Thayer Reffner. He was a 1959 graduate of Conneaut High School and following graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1962. He attended Gannon University and earned his Accountant’s degree in Certification.

Dale worked for many years as an Accountant at the former Pittsburgh & Conneaut Dock Company, and United States Steel in Pittsburgh until his retirement.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Judith Reffner whom he married October 31, 1963

He is survived by children Kimberly (Brian) Thome, Conneaut, Lynette Reffner (Mike Riley), Pittsburgh, Rhonda (Mike) Garbutt, Conneaut, grandchildren, Eric, Alexa, Jessica, J.J., Justin, Hayle and Corey. 9 great-grandchildren, Sisters, Ellen Barber and Lois (Jan) TerVeen.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, Dale has been cremated. A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be announced when a date has been set.

The Raisian Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
