          Anthony P. DiNunzio age 89 of Conneaut died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.

          Tony was born on September 14, 1927 in Conneaut the son of Pasquale and Anna (Mucci) DiNunzio.  He was a 1945 graduate of Conneaut High School.  After high school Tony worked at the Nickel Plate Railroad and went on to work at the former Allied Resinous in production where he retired on his birthday in September of 1989.

          Tony was a member of Corpus Christi Parish.  He enjoyed gardening, taking care of his yard, playing the harmonica and watching the Pat Williams morning show.  He was also a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  Tony was especially loved by his nieces and nephews and was known as “Uncle T”. 

          He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ida Armeni, Helen Bohach, Josephine Marcucci and Mary Calabrese, brothers Nick DiNunzio and Louis DiNunzio, Sr., nieces Patty Camus, Donna Butala and nephew Paul Edel.

           Tony is survived by sisters Patricia (James) Adams of Conneaut, Florence Jabailey of Conneaut, sister-in-law, Flora DiNunzio of Conneaut, nieces and nephews, Sam (Jackie) Armeni of Detroit, MI, Analee (Cliff) Craig, Bob (Theresa) Bohac of Youngstown, Barbara (Jerry) Roscoe of Columbus, Louis (Rosemary) DiNunzio, Jr., of N. Carolina, Ann (Clyde) Laughlin, Louise (Denny) Gustafson, Jack (Pat) Carr, Karen Simmons and Linda (Bill) Kehoe all of Conneaut, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

          Private services will be held for the family at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut.

Tony’s family would like to extend a special thank you for all of the love and care he received at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.

          Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
