Carmelita M. Ferrio age 98 died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Lantern of Madison.
Carmel was born on February 18, 1919 in Erie, PA the daughter of Ferdinand and Frances (Trolli) DeMarco. She was a 1937 graduate of Conneaut High School. She was employed with Thompson Aircraft during World War II, B & B Cleaners and later retired from Conneaut General Electric Base Plant.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish.
Carmel was preceded in death by her parents, husband Nicholas Ferrio, grandson Brian Carmichael and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by daughters Karen (Terry) Loomis of Ashtabula, Fran (Frank) Carmichael of Concord, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
