David P. King, age 78 of Conneaut died Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home with family by his side.
David was born on February 24, 1941 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of Paul and Goldie (Jackson) King. He was a 1959 graduate of Brookfield High School and went on to work for Sharon Tube as a foreman for more than 40 years, until his retirement.
David enjoyed gardening, sunsets at his lake cottage and hunting and fishing trips with his in-laws. He could fix anything and loved being a “caretaker” to his family and friends. Most important to David was his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on through them and the family cottage he and his wife Patty built on Harrington Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Patricia King (Spencer) whom he married September 25, 1959 at St. John Church in Sharon, Pa., one sister Donna McFarland, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janine and Joe Vendemia, and one grandson Jacob King.
David is survived by two sons Chuck King of Masury, Ohio and Craig King of Conneaut, one daughter Paula Gayle Grimm of Conneaut, one brother Harry (Debbie) King of Cortland, one sister Diane (Ron) Harris of West Virginia, grandchildren Sam, Charley, Katelyn, Jesse, Brody, David and Duke, great grandchildren Cody, Cassie, Jameson, Zachary, Cannon and Sophia, great grandson Jacob, great-great grandchildren Ryker and Sylis, and two sisters-in-law Kathy (James) Zolnier of San Ramon, CA and Carole (Chuck) Carrier of Brookfield, Ohio.
At David’s request a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
