Harry “Pat” D. Burr, age 89 of Conneaut, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.

          Pat was born August 8, 1928 in Conneaut, the son of Carl and Marie (Gillooly) Burr.  At the age of 14 Pat began working at Eaton’s Greenhouse. A 1946 graduate of Conneaut High School, Pat worked for many years in the flower industry. He had a special touch for flora arrangements. Pat worked for Eaton’s Greenhouse, Frew and Jackson, Morris Flowers and retired from Mickelson Greenhouse.

          Pat was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church for 30 years, and most recently the Edgewood Alliance Church.  He loved gardening, growing flowers and vegetables, and belonged to many garden clubs over the years.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl Burr, three sisters Helen Ritari, June Wilkins, Margaret Palagyi and daughter Rebecca Burr.

          Pat is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elsie (Myers) Burr, whom he married July 28, 1962 at the former Grace Lutheran Church, two sons William Burr of Conneaut, Terry (Megan) Burr of Conneaut, two daughters Candice (Lee Schoeppler) Burr of Willoughby, Beth (Dale) Stilwell of Madison, daughter-in-law Barb Burton, sister Charlotte Kelly of Kissimee, Fl., four grandchildren Emilie Burr, Michael Burr, Melanie Taylor, Ashley Burr and one great-granddaughter Jacie Taylor.

          Calling hours will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.

          Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Raisian Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Greenlief officiating.

          Burial will follow at Center Street Cemetery, W. Main Rd., Conneaut

          Memorial contributions can be made in Pats name to the Edgewood Alliance Church.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
