Lawrence Joseph Atrozskin, age 86 of Beaver Center, PA., went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Onalee Saturday evening April 20, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA.
Joe was born March 18, 1933 in Meadville, PA., the son of Lawrence and Katherine Grocki Atrozskin. Joe was Catholic by faith and was a former Past Grand Knight Council 627 Conneaut, 4th degree member of the Leo J. Kane assembly and member of Corpus Christi Parish. For many years both Joe and his wife Onalee volunteered many hours to help the church with donut sales, fish dinners, and many other charitable events for the needy.
Joe was retired from Union Carbide Elkem metals in Ashtabula, Ohio where he had worked since 1952. He also worked for Wallace Hyde Jr. where he drove bus, cement truck and semi-trucks for over 39 yrs. He also farmed his own property his entire life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Onalee J. Atrozskin (Jan 10, 2019), a son Robert G. Atrozskin, grandsons Daniel Atrozskin and Brian Ball, granddaughter Heather Weaver, and sister Rose Campbell.
Joe is survived by his children, Patricia Ball Dillen (John) of PA., Kathleen Weaver of FL, Claudia (Don) Swonger of MS, Lawrence J, Atrozskin, Jr., of WI, Susanne (Lee) Riley of SC, James B. (Debbie) Atrozskin of FL, 27 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut with Fr. Philip Miller officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut followed by services with Pastor Abe Edwards of the United Church of Beaver Center officiating.
Burial will follow at Conneautville Cemetery, Conneautville, PA.
