Lora L. Shuster, age 53 of Conneaut died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at her home.

          Lora was born on March 14, 1964 in Erie, PA the daughter of Roy and Marilyn (Irish) Appleton.  She was a 1982 graduate of Northwestern High School.  Lora worked at various places in the Conneaut area.

          She was a member of the American Legion Cowle Post 151.  She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling and shopping.  Lora loved spending time and having fun with family and friends.  She especially loved being a grandma, she adored her grandchildren and the time spent with them was so cherished. Lora was the type of person that would help anyone and she had a “heart of gold”.

          Lora was preceded in death by her parents.

          She is survived by her husband of 28 years, George Shuster Jr., whom she married on August 6, 1988, a daughter Amanda (Cory Gritzer) Shuster of Conneaut, a son Cody Shuster of Conneaut, a sister Lisa (Mike) Goodwill of Conneaut, three grandchildren Rylee Shuster, Braxon Shuster and Zayden Peters, and two nieces Lora Goodwill and Kari Goodwill.

          Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 27 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Raisian Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.

          Funeral service will follow calling hours at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

          Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Lora’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
