Loretta A. Penniman, age 79 of Conneaut died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Saybrook Landing Health and Rehabilitation in Ashtabula.
Loretta was born December 10, 1939 in Conneaut, the daughter of Nicholas and Edith (Delisio) Notte. She was a 1957 graduate of Conneaut High School and married the love of her life, Charles Penniman on August 3, 1957 at St. Frances Cabrini Church.
Loretta was a housewife and mother, she worked for several years at the former Loblaws grocery store and as a para-pro for the Conneaut Area School system. Loretta served on the Ad Hoc Committee for the Ladies Club. She loved to travel to Florida and go on Caribbean cruises with her husband and for many years Loretta loved to take rides with Chuck to enjoy the Conneaut harbor and lakefront.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Thomas Notte and Michael Notte.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles A. Penniman of Conneaut, son Charles M. Penniman (Debbie) of Fruitland Park, Fl., daughter Lori Baruffa (Christopher) of Madison, son-in-law John Jyurovat of Saybrook, granddaughters Tanya Penniman and Jeannie Jyurovat (David) along with 4 great-grandchildren Bryce, Colton, Jacob, and Leila.
It was Loretta’s request that no calling hours or services be held.
Memorial contributions can be made to Conneaut Fire and Rescue or Arlene’s Broadway on Buffalo. Envelopes will be available at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030 where Loretta’s arrangements are being entrusted.
