Mary Catherine Callahan age 71 died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Rae Ann Nursing Home in Geneva.
Mary Catherine was born on March 30, 1947 in Conneaut the daughter of Richard and Cleo (Graves) Callahan. She was a Conneaut High School graduate. She worked at the Ashtabula County Nursing home in housekeeping for 17 years until she was medically disabled.
A member of Corpus Christi Parish, Mary Catherine enjoyed ceramics, word search puzzles, dancing, bowling, church activities and was a social butterfly at The Villa at the Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard Howe Callahan and Dennis James Callahan, and an Uncle William Howe Graves.
She is survived by a sister Patricia Callahan of Madison, niece Lisa and Rob Yopp of North Kingsville, great nieces and nephews Stephanie (Michael) Dalin, Cortney Yopp, Richard Michael Yopp and 3 great-great nieces Mikaela, Sophia and Ryleigh Dalin.
Calling hours will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut with Father Philip Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s School Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
