Norris N. Sleigh

           Norris N. Sleigh age 67 of Conneaut, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at UH Seidman Cancer Center, Cleveland, Ohio.

          Norris was born on November 6, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY the son of Harry and Helen (Houser) Sleigh.  He was a 1968 graduate of Conneaut High School.  He worked at various jobs before he went on to become a mechanic at the Pittsburgh & Conneaut Dock Co., where he retired in 1992 after 23 years of service.

          He was a 20-year member of the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club and the Conneaut Moose Lodge.  Norris loved to work in his garage and was an excellent metal fabricator.  He also enjoyed his motorcycles and tractors. 

          Norris was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Harry Sleigh, Jr. and George Sleigh. 

          Norris was a very loving father and his children meant everything to him.  He is survived by his sons Jason (Tiffany Tenney) Sleigh of Jefferson, Dustin Sleigh of Conneaut, Gabe (Krystal) Sleigh of Conneaut, a daughter Natalie Sleigh of Erie, PA, a sister Katherine Sleigh of Ashtabula, sister-in-law’s Cyndi Sleigh of Plymouth Township, Christi Sleigh of Monroe and two grandchildren Aurora and Dustin, Jr., along with his beloved bull dog Mac.

          A Celebration of Life to honor and remember Norris will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at 20 Daniels Avenue, Conneaut 44030. 

          Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, envelopes are also available at the Raisian Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut, where arrangements are being handled.
