Roger W Curtiss

Roger W. Curtiss, age 79 of Conneaut, died Saturday August 24, 2019 at Jefferson Health Care, in Jefferson, OH. 

Roger was born August 12, 1940 in Conneaut the son of Roland and Martha (Hautilla) Curtiss.  He entered the United States Navy in 1958 and was Honorably Discharged in 1961.  Roger went on to work for Rockwell Brake in Saybrook as a press operator, and later retired from Punderson State Park as a water plant operator.

Roger was a member of the Conneaut Fish & Game Club.  He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, travelling and going to classic car shows.  Aside from Rogers love for his classic cars, he most adored spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; family was a big part of Rogers life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Janet Kay Curtiss whom he married January 11, 1962.

Roger is survived by three daughters, Kara and Joe Marita of North Olmsted, Kendra Curtiss of Conneaut and Kathi Curtiss of Florida; two sons, Kevin (Patty) Curtiss of Elgin, IL. and Keith (Amber) Curtiss of Conneaut; 14 grandchildren, Robert, Kayla, Carli, Christopher, Justin, Amanda, Tessa, Aiyanna, Joseph, Samantha, Morgan, Jessica, Katherine and Annaliisa, 5 great-grandchildren, one sister Sherri (Bob) Wright of Conneaut and former son-in-law John Hatfield.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Raisian Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut, OH 44030.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Roger’s name to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
