Carol A. Sprague age 83 of Conneaut died December 24, 2020 at the Villa at the Lake.
Carol was born on August 17, 1937 the daughter of Harold W. and Mary R. Wassie Bean. She was a graduate of Conneaut High School and started while in high school as a candy striper at Brown Memorial Hospital After high school, she worked as a nurse aid on the labor and maternity ward. She truly loved her job taking care of the moms and babies. Later she transferred to the pharmacy. She still enjoyed patient contact and often helped and visited with people as she delivered medication to the floors.
She was an outgoing person and always had a good word for passersby.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Conneaut and was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and attended mass at St. Mary Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd Sprague and an infant daughter Audra Marie.
Carol is survived by her daughter Tina and Brent Freeman of Andover, two grandchildren, Adam Freeman and Jared Freeman, a sister-in-law Ruth Ann Anderson of Tennessee and a brother Harold (Bill) Bean of Wolcott, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Wassie officiating.
Funeral service will be livestreamed on Raisian Family Funeral Home Facebook page.
Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
