Charlotte Patricia White age 97 of Conneaut, died Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Hadlow Hospice Center in Jacksonville, Florida where she had been residing with her daughter.
Charlotte, the daughter of Nicholas and Lena Colangelo Anthony, was born on May 26, 1924 in Conneaut. She was a 1943 graduate of Conneaut High School. Following graduation, she ventured to Detroit where she trained and worked at Lincoln Brass as an administrative assistant. She later worked for 17 years as a Dental Assistant at Dr. Riddle’s office in Conneaut. Charlotte retired in 1989 after working many years as Dr. C. Kim’s Office Assistant.
Charlotte was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, the Cara Mia Club and the Altar Rosary Society. For many years she enjoyed bowling, gardening, yardwork, flowers, sewing, and baking. She especially loved the time she spent with her family and sharing her love of cooking with her grandchildren. Charlotte was a member of several card clubs and often had the highest score in a game of pinochle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony (Tony) F. White, and nine older siblings including brothers Donald, James, Joseph, Benjamin, John and Anthony and sisters Mary DeSalvio, Theresa Colangelo and Angeline Dibbs.
Charlotte is survived by two daughters, Sandy Simpson of Jacksonville, Florida and Dr. Bonnie Harris of Chicago, Illinois and granddaughters Erin Taylor Simpson and Ashton Charlotte Harris, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut with Father Philip Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
