Dannie Harris

          Dannie Harris age 65 of Dorset died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at his home.

          Dannie was born on September 2, 1954 in Fedscreek, KY the son of Ralph Lester and Lola (Sloan) Harris.  Following high school, Dannie entered the United States Navy in 1972 and was honorably discharged after serving on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt aircraft carrier in 1975. 

          He was the head of the Cleveland Red Cross and then became the City Manager of Willowick, Ohio.  He later retired as an HVAC technician and specialist.  Dannie loved working on cars and fixing things in his garage and house.

          Dannie was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Ann (Dales) Harris in 2012 and brothers Wayne Harris and Lester Harris.

          He is survived by sons Dannie Harris (Charlotte Pasco) of Jefferson and David Harris of Lexington, SC, two brothers Michael Harris and Scott Harris both of Fedscreek, KY, sister Bonnie Christine Potter of Brakes, VA, two grandchildren Rebecca and Alexis Harris and two great-grandchildren Owen and Lilliana Harris.

          Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Glenwood Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut  with Pat Bartone officiating along with the American Legion Honor Squad will conducting military honors.
