Dave W. Beckwith

Dave W. Beckwith, age 88, died March 4, 2025, at the Lake Point Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Dave was born May 22, 1936, in Rome, Ohio, the son of Burt and Flossie (Smith) Beckwith. Dave attended Deming School in New Lyme, Ohio. He grew up working on the family dairy farm and making maple syrup in the spring.  He worked for many years at the former Diamond Shamrock in Ashtabula.

He enjoyed flying his own plane, restoring his VW Bug Convertible, polka dancing, spending warm days in his pool while living in Florida and he also enjoyed repairing electronics.

He was a member of St. Francis Mother Cabrini Church in Conneaut, Ohio where he married Marcella Adang on March 25, 1979.  

Dave is survived by his wife Marcella (Adang) Beckwith, and his children David Beckwith, Ronald (Betty)Beckwith and Todd Beckwith.   Three stepchildren.  Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Dale.

Burial of Dave’s ashes will take place at the convenience of the family in Brownsville New Lyme Cemetery.
