Dennis J. McKinley

Dennis James McKinley age 52 of Ashtabula died January 12, 2021 at his residence.

Dennis was born on November 16, 1968 in Conneaut the son of Francis and Marian Specht McKinley, Sr.  He was a 1986 graduate of Conneaut High School.  For several years Dennis worked at Broadfield Manor as an Ambulette driver and was currently employed with First Energy Electric Company for over 10 years serving as a supervisor.

Dennis enjoyed fishing and boating with family and friends on Lake Erie for perch and walleye. He also loved going to casino’s, working in his garden, woodworking, and his cat “Oreo”.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Francis McKinley, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Mary (Nelson) McKinley, whom he married May 2002, his mother Marian Specht McKinley, a stepdaughter Garnetta (Thomas) Lang of Medina, step grandchildren Gabby, Shannon, and Harley, a brother Francis (Cindy) McKinley, Jr., of Kingsville, sisters Kimberly (Rick) DiLiello of Conneaut, Tracy McKinley of Conneaut, Kelly Long of Ashtabula, Meredith McKinley of Conneaut, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.

Due to Covid-19 masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home.
