Diane A. Hall, age 59 of Conneaut, died January 8, 2021 at UH Conneaut Medical Center.
Diane was born on May 15, 1961 in Geneva, the daughter of Joseph and Linda Sue (McMillion) Rapp. She was a 1979 cosmetology graduate of the Ashtabula County Vocational School. Diane began her career as owner/operator of Nina Marie’s Beauty Shop, but soon realized she preferred spending time with her children and became a stay-at-home mom. Later in life, she earned a degree as an ophthalmic technician at Lakeland Community College, a profession she was passionate about. She was employed with the Erie Eye Clinic much of her time as an ophthalmic tech and truly enjoyed her work family.
Diane enjoyed sewing, baking, pets, riding motorcycles with her husband, taking her grandkids to amusement parks, and making people smile. Above all, Diane loved spending time with her family and friends. Her door was always open with a big smile and candy in hand. Diane especially cherished and loved playing with her children and grandchildren. She inherited her mother’s love for travel, adventure, and everything exciting, riding roller coasters with her grandkids gave her such joy. Every 4th of July, she could be found celebrating in Summerville, WV at the family reunions. Diane was driven to bring joy and happiness to others, whether it was through baking cookies, sewing pillows and blankets, sending a funny text, or simply, and most often, through her smile. She brought joy to the world every day.
Diane was preceded in death by mother Linda Sue Rapp.
She is survived by her loving husband Gregg Hall, whom she married November 23, 1997; her father Joseph Rapp of Summerville, WV; sons Daniel (Lindsay) Sutterlin of Chesterland, OH; Benjamin (Eryn) Sutterlin of Bay Village, OH; Claude (Rebekah) Sutterlin of Hudson, OH; daughters Nina (Alan) Everson of Hudson, OH; Nikki (Adam) Pontius of Chagrin Falls, OH; Kari (Chad) McKinley of Conneaut, OH; brothers Andy Rapp of Geneva, OH and David (Sue) Rapp of Geneva, OH; sister Linda (Dave) Nicholson of Geneva, OH; and seven grandchildren Sam, Tucker, Luke, Mila, Lillian, Madilyn, and Gracelyn.
