Doris Marie Vendetti, age 79 of Conneaut died early Monday morning, February 2, 2015 at her residence with her family at her side.

Doris was born on July 9, 1935 in Conneaut the daughter of Ture and Hazel Fails Pearson. She was a 1953 graduate of Conneaut High and went on to work the tele-type at the News Herald. For many years she was a fish cutter at the former Pearson Fish Company that her family owned and operated. She also worked as a type setter at Printcraft for several years until Doris and her husband, Anthony "Soot", purchased the Rainbow CafAC. in downtown Conneaut. They both operated the local restaurant and bar until 1999.

Doris was a member of Corpus Christi Parish attended Mass at St. Frances and St. Mary Churches. She was an avid reader and also bowled in women's leagues years ago. Doris loved to travel to Las Vegas to see her friends and family.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Eleanor Kalio and Irene Williams, brothers, Harold Pearson and Charles Pearson.

Doris is survived by her husband Anthony "Soot" Vendetti, whom she married May 28, 1955, of Conneaut, four sons, Anthony "Tony" and Patricia Vendetti of Las Vegas, Vincent and Shelley Vendetti, Mark and Sherri Vendetti, Nicholas and Jamie Vendetti, all of Conneaut and a daughter Angel and Rich Ginocchi of Las Vegas, ten grandchildren, Joseph, David, Devin, J.T., Leah, Mark, Gina, Christa, Evan, and Nicholas, 3 great-grandchildren, Amelia Vendetti, Maddox Vendetti and Charlee Breeden, one brother, Larry Pearson of Hudson, Fl., four sisters, Jane and Robert Cowen of Clay, WV., Linda and Rick Port of Las Vegas, Ruth Chun of Hawaii, Rosemary Raisian of North Kingsville, and a sister-in-law, Betty Pearson.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut, Ohio.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut, with Fr. John Sheridan officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made in Doris's memory to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th St., Erie, Pa. 16505.
