Dorothene B. Blare

Dorthene B. Blare, age 78 of Conneaut passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at St. John’s Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio.

Dorthene was born on July 18, 1943, in Willoughby, the daughter of Glenn and Mary (Ely) Clark. She married her late husband Ronald U. Blare on May 16, 1960 and raised their family in Conneaut.

Dorthene loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to the casino’s, doing crafts, sewing, and baking delicious foods. For many years Dorthene worked at Emco Wheaton, The Red Barn, Western Auto and retired from Brown Memorial Hospital where she worked as a dietician.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald U. Blare (2019), sister Addie Moss and brother Glenn Clark.

Dorthene is survived by a son Ronald (Rita) Blare of Hartsgrove, daughters Donna Blare of Austinburg, Rita Blare, Denise (Daniel) Owens, Rhonda Cool, Karen (Kevin) Warren all of Conneaut and Paula (Al) of Perry, Ohio along with 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Dorthene wishes were to be cremated and have a Celebration of Life at a later date to be announced by the family.
