Douglas B. Fields

Douglas B. Fields at 58 of North Kingsville, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2025 at his home.

Doug was born on September 2, 1966 in Conneaut the son of Robert and Agnes Golaszewski Fields.  He was a 1984 graduate of Conneaut High School.  He was employed as a Corrections Counselor at Lake Erie Correctional Facility. 

Doug “soccer ball” was a beloved father, brother, cousin, and friend. Dougie Fresh, as many people would call him, was a leader and an amazing friend who leaves a hole in the hearts of many that will never be filled.

In his spare time, he was member of the Punisher’s Motorcycle Club and loved riding his Indian motorcycle.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and camping in the Allegheny mountains at the family campground in Cherry Grove.  He especially loved to drink his Pepsi with a cigarette in hand.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Holly Fields and fiancé Michael Baker, his honorable daughter Alyssa Dimarino, sister Julie and Jeff Myers, brothers Robert Fields, Tim and Karen Fields and Kenny and Brenda Fields, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the funeral home, with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, N. Kingsville.

Memorial contributions in Doug’s memory may be made to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.  Envelopes are also available at the funeral home.
