Eleanor M. Goodman, age 88 of Kingsville, passed away on September 5, 2023, at the Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Home.
Eleanor was born on February 18, 1935, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Gabriel and Agnes Crownapple Moross. She was a graduate of Conneaut High School. Eleanor worked for many years as a Veteranian Tech at Pleasant’s Animal Hospital in Ashtabula. She loved taking care of all the various animals and pets. She also enjoyed her knick knacks, her angels, carousels, and butterflies. She was also a very good woodworker, making all kinds of furniture.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Janice Johnson, grandson Jamie Braden, sister Laura VanNortwick, brothers Joseph Moross, Robert Moross, John Moross, and George Moross.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald R. Goodman, sons, James and Rosemary Braden, Dale and Liz Braden, daughters Cissy and Rick Burthout, Sherry and Diane Braden, and Tina and Gary King, stepsons Gerald and Angela Goodman, Jr., Ronald Goodman, Matthew and Lisa Goodman, stepdaughter Sharon and Jon Hopkins, seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Julie Applegate of Kelloggsville Church officiating. Burial will follow at Gageville Cemetery, Kingsville, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor’s memory to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League or Hospice of the Western. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
