Helen R. Castrilla

Helen R. Castrilla age 95 of Conneaut passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation surrounded by her family.

Helen was born on December 23, 1927, in Conneaut, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Dudas Tobias.  She married Henry “Hank” Castrilla on March 27, 1948, and together they raised their family in Conneaut.  Helen was a housewife, mother, and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Henry “Hank” Castrilla in 2006, two sisters Margaret Nickels and Elizabeth Showalter.

Helen is survived by daughter Connie (Gary) Coxon, son Michael (Gail) Castrilla all of Conneaut, grandchildren Rob Coxon, Joe (Tricia) Coxon, Dan (Stacey) Coxon, Aimee Castrilla, Michael (Lauren) Castrilla and Alison (Ben Berridge) Castrilla, great grandchildren Kinsley, Kason, Karter, Kora, Karson, Lucas and Charlie Jo, sister-in-law and best friend Alvera Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.

At Helen’s request, no visitation will be held burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.  The Raisian Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
