Jerold D. Rutherford

          Jerold D. Rutherford age 75 of Conneaut passed away on December 20, 2024.

          Jerold was born on October 23, 1949 in Conneaut, the son of Jesse and Kathryn Wolfe Rutherford.  He attended Conneaut High School and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1971. 

          Jerold worked for many years at MFG in robotics and supervision.  He had a love of motorcycles and his Harley Davidson sportster.  He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Brown fan.  He enjoyed camping with his family and friends in Tidioute and going fishing on Lake Erie for perch and walleye.

          Jerold was preceded in death by his parents, son Joshua Nelson, daughter Mickie Halstead, brother Richie Rutherford and two granddaughters Nichole Profitt and Britnie Mendoza.

           He is survived by his wife, Earlene Braden Rutherford, whom he married December 7, 1999, daughter Shelley Williams of Cranesville, PA, grandchildren David (Heather) Varkette, Justin (Jaclyn) Grubbs, Christopher (Ashley) Williams, James Wood, 13 great grandchildren, brother Robert (Sharon) Rutherford, son-in-law Mark Halstead, and an Aunt Wilma Smith.

          Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024.  The Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post 151 Honor Squad will conduct Military honors at the conclusion of services.
