John H. Betteys (Trapper Jack) passed away March 15, 2026.
He was born on September 19, 1950 in Ashtabula the son of Jack and Virginia Butts Betteys.
Jack was a longtime resident of Conneaut, Ohio. He was nicknamed "Trapper Jack" for being an avid trapper, fisherman, and hunter due to his fondness of the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving son and daughter, Justin and Mallory, his best friends Patch, Jack, and Joe, along with irreplaceable friends and family members.
Jack Betteys served as a proud member of the United States military in the Navy from October 17th,1968 to October 16,1974 and served two tours in the Vietnam War.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST HE WAS A MAN WHO HAD GRIT!
