Karl W. Hotovec, age 76 of North Kingsville, died Saturday morning February 27, 2021 at his home.
Karl was born January 10, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA. the son of Karl M. and Jean (Yaksetic) Hotovec. Following high school, Karl entered the United States Navy and served his country until he was Honorably discharged.
For most of Karl’s life he was a roofer and specialized as a Coppersmith. Karl and Faith owned Estate roofing, serving the East Side of Cleveland. He was by trade a Coppersmith that specialized in Historic Slate, Copper and Tile Restoration.
Karl loved to spend his leisure time with his family and friends. He especially loved to go fishing at Canadohta Lake. Karl was always tinkering with something to fix or make.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Karl is survived by his wife Faith R. Antolik Hotovec, of North Kingsville, whom he married Aug 31, 1984, a son Karl R. Hotovec of Pittsburgh, a sister Carol and Gary Napotnik of Pittsburgh, a niece Kelly Napotnik and nephew Gary Napotnik all of Pittsburgh.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Church with Fr. Philip Miller and Deacon Nicholas Iarocci celebrating mass.
Karl will be buried at the convenience of the family in Pittsburgh at Northside Catholic Cemetery.
Raisian Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with Karl’s arrangements.
