Kenneth E. Jury

Kenneth E. Jury, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.

Ken was born on July 11, 1943, in Conneaut, the son of Thomas and Ruth Young Jury. He was a 1962 graduate of Conneaut High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force following high school and was honorably discharged in September 1966 after serving 4 years as a jet engine mechanic during the Vietnam War.

Ken returned to Conneaut and worked for Don Draves Fisheries, Norton Industries for 16 years in maintenance and retired from the Conneaut Area School system in 2008 after 23 years as a custodian.

Ken was Methodist by faith, and he loved woodworking and getting into trouble in his spare time.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Red Jury and William Jury, nephew Joseph Jury and great-nephew Michael Jury.

Ken is survived by two sons, Kyle Jury, and Joseph (Alicia) Jury, both of Conneaut, brothers, Thomas (Tink) and Janice Jury, Dave and Shelia Jury, sisters-in-law Sandy Jury and Connie Jury all of Conneaut, and several nieces and nephews.

At Ken’s request there will be no visitation. 

Graveside service will be held, 12:00 p.m. noon, Friday, July 28, 2023, at East Conneaut Cemetery, with Pastor Betsy Schenk of Amboy United Methodist officiating. The American Legion Cowle Post 151 Honor Squad will conduct military honors.

The Raisian Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
