Lucille E. Bartone, 95, was surrounded by her family when she was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Born on August 27, 1925, in Conneaut she was the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Papernik) King.
Lucille was preceded in death by her first husband, James Walters, sons James Walters, Jr., David Walters, son-in-law Dennis Neiger, great-grandson Nash Neiger, sisters, brothers, parents, and grandparents.
She is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, Fiory A. Bartone, daughters Diane Neiger of Painesville and Julie Riegler of Michigan, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lucille was a graduate of Conneaut High School and a lifelong resident of Conneaut. She enjoyed giving back to the community. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and former Parish Life Committee, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Conneaut Moose Lodge, and a Brown Memorial Hospital volunteer. Lucille had fond memories spent at the cottage and loved going to the lake to watch the ships and the sunsets.
Lucille was also an avid golfer and bowler. She enjoyed playing card games with her friends and valued time spent with her family.
At Lucille’s request there will be no services. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Raisian Family Funeral Home.
