Marilyn E. Miller, age 90 of Conneaut, died December 26, 2022, at UH Geauga Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Marilyn was born September 30, 1932, in South Whitley, Indiana, the daughter of Hollis and Lucille Emery Glick. A graduate of South Whitley High, Marilyn worked at the local carhops as a waitress and later met and married her late husband David L. Miller on November 11, 1950, at her parent’s home in South Whitley. They returned to the Conneaut area to raise their family on Daniels Avenue.
A member of the First Baptist Church, Marilyn was active for years with the Ladies Circle. She was a member of several local garden and flower clubs. She loved to go camping with her family, crochet, and canning fresh food for her family. Marilyn was a wonderful pie maker and master cook. She was an avid reader prior to losing her sight. Thanks to the Cleveland Library for the Blind, she was able to continue her passion for reading.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband David L. Miller in 2019, an infant son Dennis Miller, a daughter-in-law Debbi Miller, brother Robert Glick and sister Dorothy Holle.
She is survived by daughter Jennifer (Ray) Palagyi of Conneaut, sons Daniel (Denise) Miller of Brooksville, Fla, Ronald (Kelly) Miller of Conneaut, Thomas (Mary Jane) Miller of Geneva, brother Richard Glick and sister Donna Piper both of Columbia City, IN, seven grandchildren, Chad, Michelle, Stephen, Stephanie, Stacey, Kirt, Angela, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 31, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut, with Pastor Robert Guldenschuh of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, N. Kingsville.
