Marjorie E. Coccitto age 95 died Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the David Simpson Hospice House – Hospice of the Western Reserve, Cleveland.
Marge was born on January 22, 1926, in Conneaut the daughter of Paul Hammond and Leona Marker Shaffer.
Marge was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. She loved to crochet and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She always enjoyed her home and the quiet location of her neighborhood. She also enjoyed watching black and white movies, The Twilight Zone, Perry Mason, and true crime shows. Marge was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Cleveland Indians and Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Marge especially loved the time she spent with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael M. Coccitto in 1971, stepfather Ed Shaffer, sister Helen Laughlin, brothers Hubert (Bud) Hammond, Harold Hammond, Robert Hammond, great grandson Quincy Hope and great grandson John Michael Bennett.
Marge is survived by her daughters Gwen Krieg of St. Cloud, Florida, Diane and John Fisher of Bowie, Maryland, Nancy and Mark Castelletti of Casa Grande, Arizona, her son Mike and Cindy Coccitto of Conneaut, sister Joyce and Paul Petri of Conneaut, grandchildren John Bennett, Christine and Craig Liber, Valerie and Jeff McClintock, Ron and Jenna Hope, Michael and Megan Coccitto, Corey and Samantha Hope and great grandchildren Rhyan, Asher, Presley and Parker and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Marge’s wishes, her family will have private services at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
