Mary Jo Muck

Mary Jo “Boj” Muck age 69 of Kingsville passed away on January 19, 2024 at UH Geauga Hospital.

Mary Jo was born on January 25, 1954 in Conneaut the daughter of Anthony and Josephine Dicenso Colby.  She was a 1972 graduate of Conneaut High School.  Following high school, she went to work at the Red Barn in Conneaut, Webb Manufacturing and was currently employed at Walmart in Ashtabula. 

She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and former C.D. of A. member.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, trips to Disneyworld with her nieces and nephews and going to casinos with her husband Danny.  Mary Jo especially loved attending parties with her family and friends and was fondly known as “Auntie Boj” to all of her nieces and nephews who she dearly loved. 

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Danny L. Muck, whom she married November 30, 1974, and would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year, brothers Nicholas and Mary Colby of Conneaut, Joseph and Memory Colby of Kingsville, sister Kathie Spore of Conneaut, niece and nephews A.J. Colby, Pete Colby, Nichole David, Nicholas Colby, Joey Colby, Alex Colby, Ethan Colby, Anthony Colby and Jason Spore, great nieces and nephews Carlina, Zack, Kayla, Colby, Camille, Abby, Hope, Dominick, Josephine and Leo. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, N. Kingsville.

Contributions in Mary Jo’s memory may be made to the Ashtabula County APL or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
