Mary N. Tavone

Mary N. Tavone, age 95 passed away early Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at UH Conneaut Medical Center.

Mary was born on May 6, 1926, in Ashtabula, Ohio the daughter of Angelo Domizi and Ida Agnetti. She was a 1945 graduate of Ashtabula High School.  Mary married her husband Michael G. Tavone, May 29, 1947, at Mount Carmel in Ashtabula.

Mary worked with her husband Michael for 35 years as the owner/operator of “Tavone’s” and Mike’s Side Pocket.  She also sold Avon for over 36 years.

Mary was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and was also a member of the former Cara Mia Club. She enjoyed watching EWTN, cooking and gardening. Mary also loved her flowers and doing yardwork. She was always happy to entertain her Avon customers and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael G. Tavone, daughter Barbara Ann Tavone, brothers Benjamin Domizi and Alexander Domizi, sisters Margaret Esposito, sisters-in-law Antoinette Rodgers, Eleanor Johnson, and Ann Pearson.

Mary is survived by her son Lawrence “Rocky” and Kim Tavone of Conneaut, grandson, Michael Tavone and his dog Clara of Cleveland, sisters Eleanor Canzonetta of Ashtabula, Brenda Mooney Kisner of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to Corpus Christi Parish for Masses.

At Mary’s request no calling hours will be held.  The Raisian Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mary’s arrangements.
