Matthew "Matt" C. Carducci, Jr.

Matthew C. Carducci Jr., age 84, passed away September 30, 2023, at his son’s residence in Painesville, following an extended illness.

 Matt was born on December 2, 1938, the son of Matthew and Evangeline Julio Carducci.  Matt was a 1956 graduate of Conneaut High School and entered the United States Army and served his country proudly until he was honorably discharged. Matt was best remembered as an avid professional piano and organ player.  He was considered by many to be the best around, he played at numerous wedding receptions, benefit concerts, and lounges all over the Tri State area including Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania.   When he wasn’t playing his organ, Matt could be found selling cars at dealerships in the area. Matt was also a New York Yankee fan and loved to talk about sports with his friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Evangeline Carducci, brothers James Carducci, Michael Carducci, Donny Carducci, Richard Carducci, and daughter Shelly Carducci.

He is survived by his children Teresa Carducci of Yuma, Arizona, Matthew (Eileen) Carducci Painesville Twp. Ohio, Jeffrey Carducci of Painesville Twp. Ohio, and Kate Carducci of Ashtabula, Ohio, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Matt’s request, he will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery and laid to rest near his daughter.
