Michael J. Julio, Jr.

Conneaut- Michael J. Julio, Jr., 74, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, surrounded by family.

He was born on December 9, 1947 in Conneaut, Ohio and was the son of Michael and Geraldine (Picard) Julio. Michael graduated from St. John High School in Ashtabula, Ohio Class of 1965. He enlisted in the United States Army and served honorably for 25 years. He served in the Vietnam War as a dustoff medic and later became a lab technician, and eventually taught hematology. Michael had been a resident of Clearwater, Florida for many years, and in retirement, enjoyed spending summers in Conneaut before returning permanently.

Michael was a member of the Corpus Christi Parish and always found time for early mass at one of the local parishes. He was also a member of the Conneaut Moose Lodge #472 and the American Legion Cowle Post #151.

He was passionate about golfing and enjoyed spending time on the course. Michael also enjoyed cooking and referred to himself as a “foodie.” He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Aimee (Russ) Lyon, Bridget Julio, Michael (Erica) Julio, III; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alyssa, Ian, and Emily; and a great-grandson, Clifton.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ann Marie Julio.

In keeping with his wishes, private family services were observed.
