Michele D. Rapose

Michele D. Rapose, age 53 of Conneaut, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at University Hospitals, Cleveland, Ohio.

Michele was born on October 23, 1969, in Conneaut, the daughter of William and Sonja Hedglin Penniman. She was a 1987 graduate of Conneaut High School and ACJS. She worked as a pre-school instructor with Small Steps program for many years. She also worked with preschoolers at Good Shepard Lutheran Church and was a private tutor for autistic children.

Michele was a very spiritual and private person. She loved gardening, canning and cooking for her family. She enjoyed watching the birds at her many bird feeders.  She also liked to make quilts and pottery. She loved to throw that clay and be by the water.

Michele was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Ken and Helen Tinker, Orlo Penniman, paternal grandparents Evan and Lucille Hedglin, brothers-in-law Bruce Rapose and Thomas Rapose, and a sister-in-law Cindy Rapose Ozvath.

Michele is survived by her parents William and Sonja Penniman, husband Jeffrey C Rapose, whom she married August 8, 1987, a daughter Amber and Mark Offensend of Ashtabula, Devin and Rachell Rapose of Conneaut, a brother Scott (Melyssa Sprott) Penniman, grandchildren Markie Offensend III., ReaLynn, Logan and Ella Rapose, nephews Zach Penniman, Kyle (Lisa Zkiab) Rapose, sister-in-law Cheryl Rapose, brother-in-law Timothy Ozvath and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

At Michele’s request, no visitation will be held, it was her wish to have private family services.
