Nancy Mae Gregory

Nancy M. (Rice) Gregory, age 85 passed away Friday evening January 29, 2021 at Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Nancy was born August 1, 1935 in Washington, PA., the daughter of Gerald V and Myrtle Gardner Rice.

She lived most of her life in Conneaut working and raising her family.  Nancy was a homemaker and worked for many years at the former Larry’s House of Donuts in Conneaut and the former Brown Memorial Hospital.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in her spare time.  She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting and ceramics. She loved to have fun and laugh and always enjoyed a good caper.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Gregory, a daughter Donna (Bob) Westerburg, great grandson Otto Arthur Sedmak, brothers Vernon Rice, Jr. and Richard Rice.

Nancy is survived by her children, two daughters Diane Gombar of Conneaut, Denice and Dave Sedmak of Conneaut, three sons, Douglas Giddings of Florida, Don Giddings of Conneaut, Dennis and Sharon Giddings of Mason, Ohio.

Grandchildren Jamie (Thomas) Westerburg, Stefanie (Mark) Patterson, Nicholas (Brittany) Gombar, Kayla (Darryl) Gombar, Andy Gombar, Jacob (Jessica) Sedmak , Matthew Sedmak, Sarah (Jacob) Adams, Samantha Giddings, Sadie (Anton) Giddings, and great grandchildren Aubrey Phillips and Noah Westerburg, Braedyn and Aubrea Gombar, Amara Gombar, Harlin Sedmak and Brantlee Jones. A sister Doris Presto of Washington, PA., and a brother Albert “Bud” Rice of Ashtabula.

Nancy’s family would like to thank the staff at Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation for the care and compassion shown during Nancy’s stay. She considered all the wonderful staff as a part of her family.

Out of Concern for family and friends, because of Covid-19, the family will not be having any services at this time.
