Paul "Tom" T Picard

Paul “Tom” Thomas Picard age 81 passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at UH Conneaut Medical Center.

Tom was born on April 12, 1943 in Sharon, PA the son of Paul R. and Eleanor Haines Picard.  He was a 1961 graduate of Conneaut High School and went on to graduate from Gannon University where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting.  He was later drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged after serving two years in Vietnam. 

Tom was hired as an accountant at the Conneaut Telephone Company in 1969.  He served as General Manager for many years and currently was serving as President of the Board of Directors.

He enjoyed bowling and golfing on various leagues and shooting pool.  Tom enjoyed socializing with his friends over the years.  He especially cherished and loved the time he spent with his children, grandchildren and family.

He was a member of American Legion Cowle Post 151 and was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns and Guardians fan. 

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen Woodworth Picard and his twin brother Edward Picard.

He is survived by his son Jason Picard, daughter Renae (Denny Burr) Picard, grandchildren Shain (Zoe) Picard, Megan (Brad) Weber, Ryan Picard, great grandchildren Silas Picard, Nolan Weber and Lucas Picard, niece Stacey (Mark) Maus, nephew Joey Picard and many other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Raisian Funeral Home with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, N. Kingsville, Ohio, where American Legion Cowle Post 151 Honor Guard will conduct military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League or Feed our Vets.
