Rebecca D. Bean

          Rebecca D. Bean age 76 of Conneaut passed away on May 8, 2023 at the Villa at the Lake.

          Rebecca was born on January 1, 1947 in Conneaut the daughter of Richard and Gloria Hennessy Whitford.  She was a 1965 graduate of Conneaut High School and attained a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education degree from Slippery Rock University. 

She worked as a Physical Education Teacher in Florida before returning to Conneaut in 1975 and working at the Ashtabula County MRDD where she retired from.

          Rebecca was a member of the Conneaut Elks Lodge.  She enjoyed scrapbooking family photos, playing scrabble, wine, bird watching and gardening.  She especially loved spending time with her grandkids.

          She was preceded in death by her husband Jack D. Bean of 35 years and her son Richard W. Bean in 2019.

          Rebecca is survived by her son Forrest Bean of Conneaut, daughter-in-law Ashley Bean of Conneaut and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kylee, Alex, Logan, Ava and Erin.

          Private family services were held at Rebecca’s request.  The Raisian Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lake Metroparks, 11211 Spear Road, Concord Twp., Ohio 44077 in Rebecca’s memory.
