Richard "Dick" E. Volkman

         Richard E. “Dick” Volkman age 73 died Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Austinburg Rehabilitation Center.

          Dick was born on April 13, 1947 in Conneaut the son of Edmond and Ruth Speaks Volkman.  He was a graduate of Conneaut High School.  For many years he worked as a lab tech at Elkem Metals and later during his retirement he worked as a janitor at the EAC.

          He was a member of the EAC, the Ashtabula VFW and the American Legion.  Dick enjoyed bowling and golfing and socializing with his family and friends.

          Dick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Michael Schreiber.

          He is survived by his sons Doug and Renae Volkman of Conneaut, John and Julie Volkman of Summerville, SC, daughter Amy and Troy Costello of Winchester, VA, five grandchildren Megan (Dave) Shetler, Jessica Volkman, Jenna Volkman, Joe Costello, Regan Costello, two great grandchildren Gage and Grant Shetler and a sister Diane Schreiber of Conneaut.

          Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.

          The Raisian Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with Dick's arrangements.
