Richard J.” Pooch” DeNunzio age 64 passed away on April 6, 2023, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Pooch was born on February 5, 1959, in Conneaut, the son of Emil and Clarice Picard DeNunzio. He was a 1977 graduate of Conneaut High School. He began working for Webb Mfg. and later went on to work in production at Vesuvius for over 30 years.
Pooch was a very good baseball player in his youth. He also enjoyed playing slow pitch softball for Chateau Lounge and the Exomet back in the slow pitch era. He also liked to play golf and enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother William DeNunzio.
Pooch is survived by his former wife Gina DeNunzio, daughters Megan DeNunzio and Sarah DeNunzio (Jacob Paskert) of Parma, sons Nicholas DeNunzio and Matthew DeNunzio (Riley Joslin), brothers Joseph and Lorrie DeNunzio, Michael and Joan DeNunzio, and sister Mary and Brian Sonnhalter, Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Nick Iarocci of Corpus Christi Parish.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
