Roland Warriner Obituary

          Roland A. Warriner age 85 died May 23, 2020 at UH Geauga Medical Center.

          Roland was born on September 14, 1934 in Jefferson, Ohio the son of William and Mary (Giddings) Warriner.  Roland served in the United States Navy where he traveled overseas during the Korean War until he was honorably discharged. Roland went on to work at the former Emco Wheaton and then retired from General Aluminum as a quality control inspector.

          In his younger years he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and farming, Later in life he loved reading and especially spending time with his family.

          Roland was preceded in death by his parents, brother Alfred W. Warriner and an infant sister Nancy Warriner.

          He is survived by his wife Barbara (Bartone) Warriner, whom he married September 4, 1980, son Stan Warriner of Jacksboro, Tennessee, daughter Susan (Miro Turk) Warriner of Lake City, sister Esther Simmone of Warren, Ohio, grandson Wayne Warriner and great grandchildren Angelina Warriner and Kenneth Warriner.

          Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle Chicago, IL 60674 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215 in Roland’s memory.

          At Roland’s request no services will be held.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
