Sandy L. Zilch, age 66, surrounded by her family, entered into the Gates of Heavenly Kingdom, Friday evening, August 18, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sandy was born July 22, 1957, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Basil and Verna Brown King. She was a 1975 graduate of Cardinal High School in Middlefield, Ohio and worked in management for Webb Manufacturing, CW manufacturing for over twenty years and three years at Creative Mill Works. Sandra met the love of her life Denny Zilch in 1978 and later married on August 27, 1983.
Sandy was the most giving, big hearted, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She blessed anyone who crossed her path. Sandy loved the Fall and Christmas Seasons. She cherished the time she spent with family and friends and would always be available to help someone in their time of need, no matter what she had going on in her own life. Sandy loved to make cookies, loved the outdoors and her flowers. Sandy had a very strong faith in the Lord and she loved her church family, at Kellogsville Church, which she attended regularly.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Verna King, her son Dennis A. Zilch, daughter Cheryl R. Gadberry, a brother James W. King, and brother-in-law Harry R. Blose.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Denny L. Zilch, daughter Tammy Stierhoff, who was her caregiver, son Shanon (Kimmie) Zilch, grandchildren, Cody Klasen, Clinton (Sara) Klasen, Carter Zilch, Coby Zilch, great-grandchildren Corvin Klasen, Callie Jo Klasen, sisters Barbara (Denver) Spieldenner and Carol Blose, a brother Richard (Dawn) King and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, form 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor St, Conneaut.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Julie Applegate of the Kellogsville Church officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made in Sandy’s name to the APL of Ashtabula County or the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
