Stephanie Marie Shields

Stephanie M. Shields age 63 of Conneaut, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at UH Geauga Medical Center after an extended illness.

Stephanie was born on May 8, 1959 in Conneaut, the daughter of Stephen and Helen Castrilla Colucci.  She was a 1977 graduate of St. John High School and later attended Erie Institute of Technology.  Stephanie went on to work for many years as an Administrative Assistant at Emco Wheaton, RMI, CW Millworks and most recently at Shred Rite. 

She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish where she volunteered in her younger years, a former member of the Conneaut Moose and Seniors Together.  Stephanie was always known as a very caring and giving person to others.

She enjoyed crafting, cooking for her family, traveling, and going on cruises with her husband Charlie.  Stephanie especially loved spending time with her friends and family.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother John Michael Colucci.

She is survived by her loving husband Charles L. Shields, whom she married August 3, 1996, step-son Brian Shields of Tennessee, sister Angela Moore of Conneaut, nephew Larry S. (Kara DiPofi) Moore, niece Kelly (Joe) Morano, great nephew Jacob Moore, great nieces Grace, Sophia, and Ava Morano, and several other beloved family members.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, N. Kingsville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions in Stephanie’s memory may be made to Feed our Vets, c/o Conneaut American Legion, 272 Broad Street, Attn: Larry Latva or Corpus Christi Parish Memorial Fund, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut.  Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
