Susan A. (Wassie) Hicks

Susan A. Hicks, age 70 of Conneaut, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Cleveland Clinic.

Sue was born on July 7, 1953, in Conneaut, the daughter of Robert and Joyce Lovell Wassie. She was a 1972 graduate of Bellevue High School and moved to Conneaut in 1977.  She worked at Webb Mfg. and General Aluminum until her retirement.

Sue enjoyed playing Diamond Art, bingo, pretty Puch, crocheting and crafts. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Joseph Hicks, niece Melissa Wassie and an infant sister Lori Wassie.

Sue is survived by her husband, Michael A. Hicks, whom she married in 1988, son Shawn (Jennifer) Hicks, Knoxville, daughters Tracy (Tim) McCarter, Knoxville, Jessica Hicks, Conneaut, Nikkie (Caleb) Chambers, Fairview, PA, brother Michael Wassie, sister Shelia (Mark) Poore all of Conneaut, grandchildren, Ellie, Lucas, Kaylee, Kaden, Kendra, Lilly, and Quinn.

The family will celebrate Sue’s memory from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.
