Theresa Ann DeMarco, age 95 of Conneaut, died Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Villa at the Lake, where she had been a resident for a few years.
Theresa was born on January 10, 1927, in Conneaut, the daughter of Anthony and Mary Dello Julio.
She was a 1945 graduate of Conneaut High School and worked for at the Conneaut Creamery, Warren’s Dairy, Julio’s Fruit Market, and for over 18 years at the City of Conneaut Water Department and retired in 1989 from Pape’s Restaurant as their bookkeeper.
Theresa was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and attended Mass at St. Mary Church. She was in the Mother’s Achievement Club, enjoyed knitting afghans and making dresses and coats. Theresa sewed her daughter's wedding dresses along with her own and the flower girls. She gave everything away to others in need. She also enjoyed canning fruits and jellies, and especially her tomatoes for sauce. In her younger years, Theresa liked to bowl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred DeMarco whom she married April 17, 1948, a daughter Sally Mucci, sisters Doris Copple, Janet Woodworth, Shirley Warren, and Mary Jane Adamack.
Theresa is survived by daughters Connie Guarino, Mary (Rich) Barnard, son Fred (Jennifer) DeMarco, brother Anthony (Norma) Julio, grandchildren Nick (Angie) Mucci, Natalie (Shawn) Adam, Michael Guarino, Michelle Guarino and five great-grandchildren Ella, Lily, Carlie, Michael, Anthony, along with several nieces and nephews.
At Theresa’s request, private services will be held for her family, and she will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut
Theresa’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Staff and caregivers of the Villa at the Lake and the Hospice of the Western Reserve for the wonderful care and compassion given to Theresa during her stay.
