Timothy A. Blood

Timothy A. Blood, age 54 of Conneaut, died tragically in an automobile accident, Wednesday July 24, 2019.

Tim was born January 15, 1965 in Conneaut, the son of Wayne “Buzzie” Blood and Sandra Vespe. Tim was a 1983 graduate of Conneaut High School and a star running back for the Conneaut Spartans. He went on to play football at Youngstown State University and was listed as the 3rd best punt returner in the country in his freshman year at YSU. Following college, Tim traveled to Florida and worked construction, roofing, siding and framing. Later Tim went to Truck Driving Training to earn his CDL license. He graduated as “Top Gun” in his CDL class.

In 2015, Tim was inducted into the Ashtabula County Football Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Conneaut Boat Club where he loved to go boating and fishing with his family and friends. He also loved to golf, spend time outdoors, and hunt. Tim enjoyed talking and joking with everybody. He loved the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Ohio State and the Syracuse Orangemen. Tim was a wonderful family man. He always showed his love for his family with a hug and a kiss.

Tim is survived by his wife Cheryl Weidler Blood whom he married June 10, 2000,  his mother Sandra and Tom Stewart of Erie, PA, daughter Kate and David Toole of Pittsburgh, son Matt Weidler of Conneaut, daughter Kiersten Weidler of Conneaut, four brothers, Scott and Jackie Stewart of Townsville, Pa, Todd and Tamrah Stewart of Titusville, FL., Steve Blood of Warren, Oh., Tim (Young In) Kitty Stewart of Erie, Pa.,  sisters Julie Blood Fagen of Warren, Oh., Lori and Ken Annacchio of Baldwinsville, NY, three grandchildren Maddox Weidler, Meira Weidler and grandson Toole coming in September, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father Wayne “Buzzie” Blood and his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.

Memorial contributions in Tim’s memory may be made to the Ashtabula County APL or to the Conneaut Spartans Athletic Program.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
